About Phobos Deimos Engineering
Phobos Deimos Engineering was founded in 2012. We saw a gap in the Canadian unmanned systems supply chain. Small and medium sized companies with a need for heavy-lift drone capability rarely have the in-house aerospace engineering resources to develop their own platforms. We provide that capability as a service rather than requiring our clients to build an aerospace division from scratch.
Our Kitchener facility comprises 12,000 sq ft of engineering workspace. It includes a composites fabrication bay with CNC tooling, an avionics integration lab, a dedicated flight test workshop, and a 2,400 sq ft climate-controlled clean room for prepreg and wet layup work. We maintain in-house CFD and FEA analysis capability rather than subcontracting this work. Why wait on an outside contractor when your analysis can be done alongside the airframe design?
Over 14 years we have delivered more than 25 prototype airframes across three platform families for clients in agricultural technology and industrial applications. Our engineering team includes specialists in airframe design, flight dynamics, CFD analysis, composites engineering, avionics integration, and manufacturing process engineering. All client programmes are conducted under non-disclosure agreements. We do not market our own branded products. Our work is contract engineering for third-party clients.
